lovely 3d as always, but i cant help feeling that the horizon bothers me as does some of the flickering shadows. 1st ave have a habit of doing lush work rendered with radiosity, but cutting corners on final render quality, i'm assuming due to the obscene amount of time it would take to render this stuff with high accuracy.
shame, but some lovely work none the less.

Hi all. Sorry for the lack of posts on my behalf I am going through the process of starting up my own little design outfit, and have been extremely busy. More on that later. However I did have time to stumble across this talented young lady and was glad I did. She has done some beautiful prints mixing modern digital media with good old fashioned collage. Have a look at these guys, Airside have been friends of mine for sometime now and I'm a big fan of their work. They have a very distinctive style and fun simply oozes out of everything they do. Have a look at the reel which I think you will agree is quite different, but make sure you look at their illustrations, there's some beautiful vector based stuff. One of my favorites is the campaign they created for Zatoichi. They also have a shop where you can buy some rather sexy T-shirts.

another little piece from the boys in madrid. It might be just me but the only thing that niggles me is the radiosity artefacts on the render. (the flickering on the surfaces) other than that there are some other great little animations on the site, and i really love the super saturated candy colors.

Ah, some genuinely good news on the Uwe Boll front ...

We've wondered aloud on more than one occassion on just how exactly it is that Uwe Boll continues to find financing for his films considering that they just flop abysmally, one after the other. Turns out the answer is simple enough ... Boll has been utilizing a loophole in German tax law that allows private investors a hefty tax write off on funds invested into failed films. Boll's films are proven failures, that's for damn sure, so he has no problems whatsoever attracting savvy German investors looking to turn a tax profit by losing money on his films.

Notice the past tense in 'has been utilizing'? That's because the good German people have seen fit to close that particular tax loophole. Effective January 2006 German films that lose money will be only that, German films that lose money. No more incentive to invest in bad films means Boll's stream of investors has just dried up. Better learn to make a decent film that turns a profit, Doc, or your career just went up in smoke ...
